Safe Food Travel
Travel, is a passion of mine! I have been traveling my entire life, love the rush, adventure, the planning and the possibilities. It became a different story after my food allergies and intestinal issues became front and center. Challenge and disappointment set in, realizing grabbing a slice of pizza and cup of coffee in a pinch was no longer a go too! 21 years ago it was a struggle. Today now we have apps, instagrams and google! Southernman and I have become pros at making a last minute plan. Except, when circumstances happen, like traffic, rural roads, delayed flights! That is why I aways have my back up plan on me and I love to have one these insulated food containers. I still call them thermoses ! They can keep any meal or snack warm or cold for hours.
I have been known to put some bone broth in one of these Yeti chug bottles and change out the lid to have on me too. Bone broth has helped me a lot before and after meals on travel or long days after a cross contamination. It is a great relief and comfort to have these items when traveling.
I even carry them on me empty to have to put items in after I get to the airport and go through security, then order food on the other side to keep warm incase I need it later. I recommend the new bento boxes as well and the reusable food storage bags. I have mini bottle of dish soap on me as well. Freezer zip lock bags comes in handy too, not as good for the planet , however I release myself of the guilt since I have a medical situation here and not
a luxury want!
Here are some more links below of products that have benefitted me greatly with travel!
Pour your favorite dish soap into one of
these containers for easy travel.
I like to bring one
that works well with grease incase I get a
stain on my clothing too. I can use the dish
soap for a quick spot removal and not have
to clean an entire article of clothing.
The freezer bags are also great, for wet clothing. A last minute swim before check out in the morning to toss a wet bathing suit into ! Not to mention the unforeseen emergency! I can't not tell you how many times, these bags have saved me in a pickle! Food storage is an endless need in life and Pyrex has been a sturdy product as well as ever growing. I like how the brand keeps ever changing and investing in the needs of their customers!
Let me know if I can help you with more ideas, for safe food travel! I have a million ideas in my mind. I would love to chat more!
As always, thank you for stopping bye!
